Memories. Such a simple word. Word that causes emotions. Emotions which were caused by an action, an action that was made sometimes by the society but sometimes by ourselves. That memory can be astonishing, full of joy and hope for something great to happen. Or it could be astonishing but this time full od sadness, anger and maybe guilt building up inside. So many ways of causing a memory. Sometimes you listen to a word or see a face that takes you back to another world, world that you used to live in, world that caused you so much pain and horror that you decided to turn your back at it. Another perspective of a memory is that when you see a person, or you listen to a word that reminds you or something joyful, funny and positive. A moment that you will treasure forever. This types of memories make your life.
You sometimes run from them and sometimes wish they could just repeat. It's funny how people think they can forget a memory, that they can hide it or better yet, just kill it. That memory stays in your personality and if you lose one memory you can lose your personality too. Maybe you'll be fine at first but then you'll feel a certain hole in your soul and trust me it aint pretty. It's very important to remember every piece of your life, every memory that you gain. The more memories that you have the greater person you achieve to be. Because when you fully know and understand yourself and everything that has happened to you, then nobody can affect or manipulate you. Don't choke on your own memories, be grateful that you have them. It doesn't matter if they are great or utterly devastating and depressing. What does matter is that those memories that sometimes everybody hates make you who you are and not who other people want you to be. Instead of complaining over a memory, accept it, cope with it and move on. It aint easy but it truly makes you a stronger person. Remember, you're never lost if you have a memory and something to start with. You are your memories.
